Our Mission: To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Our Vision: Connecting people at life's crossroads with God's Love and Grace.
And we do this by:
-Inviting them into a relationship with Christ so they may experience God's love.
-Encouraging spiritual growth and dedication to Jesus and the Kingdom of God.
-Empowering Christians so they might participate in ministry and become involved in what God is doing in our community, country and world.
The First United Methodist Church of Maryville, built on the northwest corner of Main and First streets in 1894, shows that connecting people at the crossroads of life with God's love and grace has long been at the heart of our congregation's vision.
The community of Maryville is special. Families, farmers, business owners, teachers, professors, and students are just few types of people that come together to form our congregation.
We are a member of the Missouri Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
The mission of the Missouri Annual Conference is: Leading congregations to lead people to actively follow Jesus Christ.
FUMC Maryville is committed to serving people in the surrounding community. We want to provide opportunities for people to interact with Christ, whether that be for the first time, reconnecting after time apart, or continuing a relationship already established with Him.
What does this mean for you? You are welcome to visit our church at any time. Whoever you are, FUMC Maryville wants to meet you and make sure you feel welcome. Join us for service on Sunday or for one of the many extra activities our church does with the community during the week.
